Como estas? How are you? How have you been? When I tell you I am a soul on fire!!! I am HEATED y’all. Heated! And I’m about to tell you why…
We are living in some crazy times. If you aren’t then I am not sure where you’re living LOL. There really is chaos happening all over the world. Of course I am “most” informed about here in the United States, but I see even the subtle actions happening in the background. Let me keep it all the way real with you- I mostly see and know of what is directly happening to me, my family, my city, what’s going on with those I love and hold dear.
My Daddy is a current events connoisseur. Okay?! He eats the news, the goings ons in this world day and night. He’s always telling me,
“Daughter you better watch so you know what’s going on. There’s more going on than people realize. You’ve got to be prepared and you better be telling everyone else about it too. Let ’em know!”
I stopped regularly watching the news years ago. I was so sick of seeing all of the negative things happening that I kept saying to myself man I wish there was some GOOD NEWS news channels to watch! Tell me something good! I don’t wanna hear all of this doom and gloom- death, killings, loss, trauma, drama, lying, crookedness and tragedy sagas. And although I don’t catch the morning news over coffee, the evening news at dinner and the nightly news before bed I still somehow am being fed news all- day- long.
News, current events and trending topics have found their way to me in the way they have learned was best to feed me. How is that you might ask? The same place they’re feeding you- your social media feed or more specifically for me the reels that have algorithmically positioned themselves in my sight- On Purpose!
Now I knew that my God has THE playbook- His Word, the B-I-B-L-E, but until being seated where God SENT ME, (in my church, The Advancing Church under Pastor Rahson R. Jordan), yesterday I learned that my Father isn’t the only one with a playbook! It is football season in America. You better know that each team has their own playbooks designed by their coach and staff. They are also studying their opponents before the battle aka game day to prepare them for how they will set out to defeat them. Sometimes (well at least in the movies lol) a team’s playbook or plays will be stolen possibly used to strategize against them and to mimic their moves.
Well sports teams aren’t the only ones stealing or possessing a playbook. Our ultimate opponent, our arch enemy, the owner and head coach has his own playbook or “bible” if you will that he leads his followers with too. This unlikely looking leader is extremely popular and is known by many names: enemy, devil, devourer, Satan- COC (Chief of Confusion), CIO (Chief Imitating Officer) to name a few. And because he is not a creative, but a cunning copycat his book is not an original work. He has plagiarized the lives and the lineage of all humanity since he entered this world. Through this history he sets people up so that he and his many minions can steal, kill and destroy the God given purpose God placed in you before you were born and the hope of His Word. BUT God!!!

Okay family this is where I am going to pause for now so this is part 1 of whatever God will pour out through me.
