Hola Mi Amor!

• I’m an Esther not a Vashti

• I call you lord*- you’re not my Daddy

• Never speaking words to you that drop like bombs breaking you down, but instead bringing life to your life like the healing balm of Gilead

• With a beauty and kindness like Rebekah I’ll wait on you

• Never impatient or forcing a promise outside of God’s timing like Sarah. My dependence on His Will, His Word & His Way is like breath to me- it’s absolutely a necessity 

• I’ll stay obedient to my wise counsel like Ruth and loyal beyond the cultural norm

• Always giving my all to honor God like the widow’s 2 mites

• Never cunning or controlling like Jezebel 

• Faithful and warring in prayer until God’s will be done like Hannah

• I am bold and kindhearted like Abigail being a peacemaker- On Purpose to bridge the divide 

• I am brave and servant hearted like Mary chosen to carry our risen Savior as I both nurture and take on the responsibility of that which God has called me to do WITH both the blessings and the pain that comes with this purpose 

• I’ve been delivered like Mary Magdelene 

• Healed like the Woman with the issue of blood

• Hidden in a secret place like so many accounts of biblical women with no names 

• Received revelation like the Samaritan Woman at the Well

 • Wise like the Woman of Tekoa while forever asking for wisdom & understanding from the King of kings, Adonai 

• Virtuous like the Proverbs 31 Woman

• Prepared, faithful, and pure like 5 of the 10 Virgins

• I’m not out here trying to be a baddie just fit for the call that’s all

• It’s never about a title for me it’s about obedience to all God has purposed, called, and anointed me for to do and build for His Kingdom

• Like Eve being formed from Adam was I made a help meet too

• Forgiven like the Woman caught in adultery

• Hospitable like Martha and still hungry for learning and God’s presence like Mary of Bethany- always prepared to anoint your body with oil and speak life, love & honor to you

• Redeemed like Rahab and, despite my past, still chosen to be used for God’s glory

Yes all of this here, is just part of my story…

lord* | So I was watching The Jamal Bryant Podcast a few weeks ago which was such a fire episode by the way, and Dr. Karri shared how and why she calls Dr. Jamal lord. I was automatically intrigued and was like yo that’s hot! And so honorable too lol. And I said oh yeah I’m definitely taking notes and am gonna do the same! Then it was brought up at church the mention of calling your husband lord as well. So yeah- that’s a keeper for me.

I pray that you learned something today, are encouraged and were blessed by this poem today.
