Hola Mi Amor!

How ya 🐝? I pray you are well. As I lay on my couch covered by my weighted blanket across my abdomen aka Tippi my Foster baby girl, I decided to re-share a piece I posted on Facebook.

Revelatory Moment | A Foster Family: A Heart That Loves

Thinking about having to turn over Tippi for an adoption really pulled some emotions that originated for me over 30 years ago! 🥹

My Mami became a Foster Parent when I was in 5th grade and continued for many years. My brother Nick was our very first emergency case in the middle of the night at 6 months old and 14 lbs. We took in a lot of children in the midnight hours- it may be 1 or even up to 5 or 6 siblings at one time.

I cared for them like they were my very own and loved on them no matter how long their stay with us was- whether it be just overnight, a few days or longer. Every single time I was so sad to see them go.

Today I started to look at this some type of way until it hit me how I could apply today’s sermon to my life right now! There’s another reality‼️‼️

I’m not flawed because my heart is so naturally accepting and loves BIGGG- On Purpose! God made me with this compassionate and loving heart for a reason. I am NOT afraid of love, AND as we learned at our Cupcakes and Convos it’s hard to put love back to bed. In these cases, I might be sad for a little bit, but I know that I’m expecting God’s BEST for them and even if I never get to see them again, they will always hold a special place in my heart.

So I am SO VERY GRATEFUL for a new lens today! God’s Word is more reality than my world!!! Hard comes before the harvest. I TRUST HIM!!! I will ONLY BELIEVE! I am staying in faith and out of the room of doubt in Jesus’ name! This week I will focus on the joy in each moment and appreciate those I’m blessed to be surrounded by- On Purpose!!! 🙏🏽❤️‍🩹🕊️♥️🎁
