Hola Mi Amor ♥️
Lord help me. I’m already crying 😭 LOL ¿Cómo estás amor? This week I’ve started writing a blog or two in my head, but it wasn’t it or the right time. I still have my private notes I write to you as well. 🙏🏽🥰
So tonight as the time actually feels like it’s later because of daylight savings time, I’m over here yawning. 🥱 The time won’t stop me from expressing myself and my gratefulness before this day ends.
If you haven’t already heard (which if you’re following my socials there’s no way you couldn’t LOL) this was an incredibly important milestone weekend for me. Friday marked my one year Anniversary as a client at Equine Assisted Therapy working with my therapist Mary and my horse Ace aka my boyfriend aka my man aka the best horse ever!!! The day was even more special since the last time I saw my Ace was a month ago due to my production gig travels. That also meant that Mary and I had a TON to catch up on!
Ace was a filthy mess LOL. It was so bad I covered my hair and my face as I was grooming him. It was evident that he had been rolling around in the mud after the rain we had. The way he rested into me further as I was brushing him- his neck pressing deeper into my shoulder and the weight of his chest meeting mine was priceless. It’s the best kind of hug. It’s like a weighted blanket of love. Better than that it feels like a hug straight from God!!! 😭🙌🏽❤️🩹🙏🏽🕊️♥️

This type of affection is earned through trust, quality time and investing in one another. Last year I was literally learning to use a cane for the first time only for my sessions with Ace in order to navigate the terrain within the indoor arena at EAT and to have my therapy with him. It was on our very first walk (1 year ago) about 3/4 of the way to the opposite end of the arena that Ace began walking instep with me. I was the very first client that he experienced using mobility assistance and still God made a way for us to connect so very quickly hallelujah!
There has been no greater gift or type of therapy that I’ve experienced than that of equine assisted therapy. The way that God moves through his creations of my horse and me with our therapist is like none other. Then there’s our connection since we’ve been riding together for the past few months. It’s miraculous!
And it’s ONLY by the grace of God that I’ve even been able to be in and continue my therapies at EAT thanks to the generous donors that contribute to their scholarship program. Then once I was able to start riding I also started working so I was able to start paying for that portion of my sessions. And even after losing my job God has continued to make a way out of no way for my therapies to continue!
I am determined to do something extremely special and creative with Ace in the coming weeks that I can’t wait to share when we do! I am forever grateful to God for this gift that completely blesses my whole self to the overflow every Friday AND has/is healing me more and more each time!!!
My 1 Year Anniversary attending The Advancing Church

On this day a year ago I came into our church for the very first time and on a walker. I experienced what felt like God leaving the 99 for the 1! It was an amazing move of God and knowing so strong that I was convinced that this was where I need to be. This is my church. I felt like “I belong here.”
I came in today about half way through our Foundations class and my mentor Dr. Kimm was teaching. It was incredible!!! She is a well of wisdom praise God! I don’t take it lightly or for granted how much of a blessing and how valuable it is to have her in my life! Food and fellowship before service was perfect.
Praise and worship was incredible. The presence of God was thick and permeated through me in a special way today. It was extremely emotional for me. As tears flooded down my face, I couldn’t help but to express my endless gratitude for all God has done in, with and through me within the last 12 months!!!! That followed by a POWERFUL word from Pastor Jordan as we celebrated The Advancing Church’s 15 year anniversary! I was FULL!!!!

So on this very day to receive the honor from my Dance Ministry leader Sis Antoinette was an incredible and completely beautiful blessing. Today I also wore heels (well this kind. I stay in some cowboy boots! 😂) for the first time in years praise God! The growth that I have made through the grace of God: personally, professionally, mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually and financially in a year has been miraculous and PRICELESS!!!
Okay my love I can barely keep my eyes open LOL. I’m actually so sleepy I’m praying all of this makes since 👀😂 Don’t worry I’ll come back and edit it.
Sweet dreams God bless you and goodnight my love.
Te amo mucho mi amor!!!
Love,
Yours Truly
