Tonight I was feeling the spirit of sadness trying to keep me company so I knew what I needed to do. Sit in God’s presence and have a poetic release with His sweet aroma by candlelight. I know that being with Him and releasing my creativity always brings me back to where I’m supposed to be. So here it is…

Loving You…

I’ve never been more hungry for You

All I want to do is eat, sleep, dream and breathe You

I am lost without Your love

Stumbling through the riverbanks going against the stream

Saturate me with Your love

Illuminate every step of Your footprints in the sand

Teach me to rest on The Rock with comfort that cannot be compared 

Let Your breath consume me

Never leaving me in my darkest or brightest days

Elevate my eyes to stay forever insight of Yours- the One that I adore

I lay at Your feet in awe and reverence, positioned to serve You

Cover me with Your grace 

Warm me with Your wisdom

With everything I am I seek Your face

Have Your way in, with and through every fiber of my being

It’s Your love I’m longing for that I need more and more

With my whole heart I give You my yes

Use me as You desire until this vessel on earth You choose to expire

Won’t You lead me in this dance to bring You glory

Without You I can’t move

In step through every unpredictable syncopated beat I follow Your will

Correct me in love

Undergird me without hesitation

Strengthen my foundation through Your Word

Speak to me for Your priceless voice is heaven to me

Thank You for loving me beyond my weaknesses 

Thank You for choosing me despite my past

Thank You for knowing my heart so intricately that You already know why I want to bless Your name

I owe You my all- my life!

I wouldn’t even be laying here like Cleopatra honoring You with my words had You not saved me time and time again

My gratitude runs deeper than the deepest ocean You created at the beginning of time

I don’t even care how any human perceives my great love and appreciation for You-

It’s not them who I owe my every breath

I’m tapped into Your presence and commit to never leaving You waiting on me ever again

Wrapped in Your love is where I will remain

Teach me what You still desire to plant within me

Paint the pages of my heart with Your plot for my life so I may follow Your script
